Where to Check First

The Huntington County Sheriff's Office, led by Sheriff Chris Newton, operates the Huntington County Jail at the same E State Street address as the sheriff's main office. Use the jail station for current custody questions, and use the sheriff records process for reports or local checks that require a public-records request.

Police and incident reports go through the sheriff's public-records request form. The sheriff's local criminal-history check is also $10 and covers verified Huntington County arrest and booking information only.
